1989

This was the first Gastrolyzer®, developed to detect hydrogen and aid in diagnosis of gastrointestinal disorders.
1993

After the Smokerlyzer® range had a hand-held and fully portable version, the Gastrolyzer® was created to be the first hand-held partner of the EC60.
1994

With a handheld Gastrolyzer®, it was time for the EC60 to be upgraded to be more portable and user-friendly.
2008

In line with the new design of the Micro+™ and NObreath®, the Gastro+™ becomes the first touchscreen Gastrolyzer®
2012

The GastroCH4ECK® Gastrolyzer® was introduced to help detect gastrointestinal disorders through testing for hydrogen and methane as an addition to the Gastrolyzer® range.
2016

The new and improved Gastro+™ device by Bedfont® has a new design, a larger and full colour touchscreen and can be connected to PC via USB, making it easier to transfer and store data.
2018

The GastroCH4ECK® Gastrolyzer® has been updated to include laser sensor technology and a ≤2 minute start-up time, marking the start of Bedfont® achieving 30 years of experience in the gastroenterology field.
2021

Bedfont® brings their 32 years of Hydrogen and Methane monitoring knowledge and has created a simple and patient-friendly HMBT Home Kit, allowing patients to be tested remotely for many digestive issues, including food intolerances, IBS, and SIBO. The Home Kits will be distributed by GI Cognition; a UK network of qualified GI physiologists, providing a unique and innovative mobile gastrointestinal physiology service.
